Obedience + Remote Collar Training
4, 8, + 12 week programs
This is an opportunity to work one on one with on of our trainers.
In these 4-12 sessions we will assess and create a plan to work towards achieving your training goals.
This program covers any issues on; Loose leash walking, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Place, and Come/Recall. We will also address things such as jumping up, leash manners, mouthing, nipping, counter surfing, door rushing or any other obedience issues you experience.
We can come to your home or meet in a public space to work on the behaviours you need addressed and teach you how to manage them yourself. By the end of the program, you will feel confident and knowledgeable in handling situations with your dog. You also will have a trainer who is on your side and ready to help if ever you need.
As with any dog training, it’s important to keep in mind that a lot of the 1 on 1 training work is going to be about 90% you, the dog owner, and 10% us, the dog trainer. We show you the fundamentals and you work with your dog daily to get the results you desire, and build a strong leadership bond along the way. You will learn how to motivate your dog so that they want to learn. You will learn the proper time to praise/reward, and when to correct. You’ll also be able to ask our trainer how to eliminate basic behaviour modification situations.

4 Lessons

In 4 lessons you and your dog can learn a combination of the following options: loose leash walking (heel), off leash heel, basic obedience (sit/down, stay, place).
In 4 sessions we can also work on adjusting nuisance behaviours such as jumping, overexcited on leash, and polite greetings.
RECALL is huge for so many owner who want off-leash freedom with their dogs safely. We can help you teach your dog to reliable recall in just these 4 sessions BUT that option is only for clients who are wanting to learn the remote collar training. Recall can only be guaranteed off leash if you have a way to communicate with your dog. Our remote collars provide a safe way humane way to do this.
Because the programs are tailored to you and your dog, we can focus on what is most important for you both to learn and help you with the areas you struggle.
Each dog and handler team learns at their own pace so it varies what each team will be able to achieve in 4 lessons

8 lessons

The 8 session package is our most popular option.
Similar to the 4 lessons, you and your dog can learn a combination of the following options: loose leash walking (heel), off leash heel, basic obedience (sit/down, stay, place), and recall.
In 8 sessions we can also work on adjusting nuisance behaviours such as jumping, overexcited on leash, and polite greetings as well as working on their obedience.
Reactive to dogs - If your struggling with a dog reactive dog (barking, lunging, nipping etc) then this 8 lesson package is a great fit. We will work with you to first tune up your dogs obedience and engagement with you (no matter the surroundings), and then go with you to public locations to continue working on these skills in real life situations.
Reactive to humans- Please see 12 lesson package.
All dogs with reactivity will be trained on a slip lead, prong collar, or remote collar.
2 dogs in one home option. If you have 2 dogs at home and wish to learn how to work with or walk them together, then the 8 sessions is a great choice. Each dog can complete a few solo lessons to learn a good foundation. Then, we can bring both dogs together to complete the remaining lessons to practice how to handle both dogs together.
12 Lessons

12 sessions is a great option for those whos' dogs struggle with more severe reactivity or dog aggression, human reactivity, or anxiety. Like the 8 sessions, this program is also great if you have more than 1 dog in the home.
Even if the main focus is on addressing your dogs behavioural concerns, we always work on obedience and recall. It's not possible to teach a dog to trust you to handle situations where they feel insecure (reactive) if they don't look to you for guidance. When we hold expectations for our dogs through obedience, this teaches them that we are in the lead. That shows them that the things that concern them are actually not their job to handle.
All dogs with reactivity will be trained on a slip lead, prong collar, or remote collar.
The 12 lesson program is also for those who want to an all around well trained dog with GREAT obedience. We will cover all the aspects of a well mannered pet as if they were in a board and train program with us.
